What is it about Holben Valley Beef that tastes so good? Upon processing, all of our beef is dry aged to perfection for 21 days which is only a small portion of why it has so much mouthwatering flavor.
Other important facts to consider for taste, but even more importantly for your health, are that our cattle rotate on open pasture and continually forage on a salad bar variety of grasses throughout the span of their life. We use: No Pesticides, No hormones, No antibiotics!
The natural element of the forage our beef consume provide nutrient dense omega 3 fatty acids and phytonutrients into their muscles. Our cattle are not only happy healthy cows, but it is these salutary benefits embedded into their DNA that make them super cows! This in turn empowers your health with a very delicious satisfying taste.
The rich forage and regenerative farming provides 5x more Omega 3 fatty acids (Good Fat) than conventional beef and 6x less Omega 6 fatty acids (Bad Fat) while providing a dietary nutrient dense balance essential for a healthy life. Excessive Omega 6 fatty acids are inflammatory with a 20:1 ratio in corn fed beef whereas omega 3 fatty acids for grass fed cattle are anti-inflammatory with a 2:1 ratio. Grass fed beef also contains 3x more CLA which is good for the heart and helps in eliminating cancer. Grass fed beef also contains 3x more vitamin A and vitamin E.
It’s true; the right type of fat; Omega 3 fatty acid is actually good for you and your body actually requires this fat for a healthy sustainable life. Not only are our cattle grass fed but they are finished on grass and typically have an average life span of 30 months as opposed to conventional cattle of only 12 -14 months. That’s 2 1/2 times the conventional lifespan.
Proper forage consumption in beef increases our cognitive health, provides high quality amino acids for muscle repair and growth, a healthy liver and proper gut function while eliminating the bad cells that cause cancer, heart disease and even the root cause of dementia.

Cattle were never designed to eat corn or soy. What we Do Not Feed our cattle is corn or soy. Corn is a starch which is very high in carbohydrates slowing down digestion. Soy is a legume and is known for blocking mineral absorption. Both of these are high in protein and are cheap to feed to cattle. Glyphosate is sprayed on both these products which typically are fed to cattle in feed lots contributing to many known diseases today. Cattle were never meant to live a constraint life.
